The Cleveland Browns have all but stated that they plan to take Travis Hunter with their second overall draft pick.
Browns fans haven’t had a lot to be excited about lately, but the idea of drafting Hunter has them with a smile on their faces.
Hunter loves the idea of the #2 playing both ways and taking as many snaps as possible, which Cleveland fans can support.
It seems the team is on board with what he wants to do in the league.
With the first round of this year’s draft set to begin in one week, the Titans appear to be set to pick quarterback Cam Ward at No. 1 overall. The Browns pick second, and most signs point to them selecting Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter.
General Manager Andrew Berry made it clear in his pre-draft press conference on Thursday that no final decision has been made.
However, Berry did add that he still views Travis Hunter as a receiver but will not limit his ability to play both ways.
Berry made it clear: “He’s great at both.”
He then compared Hunter to Shohei Ohtani, saying if he plays both ways in the NFL, “he becomes a unicorn.”
As it stands, the Browns seem poised to take a transformational talent such as Hunter.

The NFL draft is a week away, and the only thing that seems decided is that Cam Ward will be selected No. 1 by the Tennessee Titans.
Travis Hunter, arguably the best available wide receiver and cornerback in the draft, could go anywhere.
Most notably, he might end up on the Browns.
Shedeur Sanders discussed the Browns’ interest, saying that he expects him or Hunter to end up with Cleveland on draft day.
“I know come draft day, it should be me or him [Hunter] going there [to Cleveland],” Sanders said. “Which one I don’t know, but I think we are the most qualified players to go to that organization.”
