Tonight, the Maple Leafs and the Senators are in the midst of what could be the final game of their first round matchup.
The Maple Leafs are up 3-0 in the series and the Ottawa Senators have to win, otherwise, their season is over for good.
They were up 2-0 in the first period, however, the Maple Leafs have made a pretty amazing comeback and both teams are now tied up at 2-2.
Perhaps much of this comeback can be attributed to the Maple Leafs fans who have made their presence felt at the Canadian Tire Centre.
In case you haven’t noticed, a good chunk of the Senators arena has been filled out with Maple Leafs fans. This was not the case in Game 3, but it is the case in Game 4.
Whenever the Leafs score, there have been some big cheers, which is probably very demoralizing for a Senators team that desperately needs something good to happen.
If the Leafs can keep the good times rolling, they will come away with a win, however, it is not going to be easy whatsoever.
The Leafs are doing a great job of keeping themselves in this game and there is no doubt that the Leafs have never looked this good in the Auston Matthews era.
Perhaps this can be attributed to head coach Craig Berube who has turned this team into a real contender and has them playing gritty hockey.
The third period is coming up and it is going to be fascinating to watch as the Senators season is now officially on the line.
