Furthermore, the league decided to leave Zub unpunished for what he did which is not sitting well at all with all of the Toronto Maple Leafs fans out there, and understandably so.
Today at practice, however, the Leafs faithful did get some very good news concerning Tavares as he was back on the ice for practice.
Essentially, Tavares will get to play on Tuesday night in Game 5 which will be music to the ears of fans throughout all of Leafs Nation.
Game 5 is going to be an important one for the sanity of Leafs Nation because if Toronto loses, some very uncomfortable conversations will be had.
Ultimately, it does feel like the Maple Leafs should absolutely win this game. But you never know with this team. They are 1-12 when it comes to closing out a series.
With a 3-1 lead in the series, the Leafs have proven that they are the better team. They have more skill, more experience, and quite frankly, better coaching.
Put this all together and the only conclusion is that the Leafs are destined for a win on Tuesday night that will propel them to the next round.
