Cristiano Ronaldo has recently signed an extended deal with Al-Nassr that gives him even more control at the club than he originally had.
Al-Nassr are one of the richest football clubs in the world and will no doubt be looking to bolster their ranks this summer.
Liverpool’s Luis Diaz has always been a name on their shortlist, with the Colombia international preferring to stay in Europe to play at the highest level.

Now that Diaz has handed in a transfer request to Arne Slot, however, things seem to have somewhat changed with a new report outlining whether the Saudi Pro League club are willing to meet the Reds’ asking price.
Cristiano Ronaldo wants Al-Nassr to bring Luis Diaz in for £85million
As per a report from Spanish outlet Diario Sport, Al-Nassr are the only club willing to meet Liverpool’s asking price of €100million (£85million) for Diaz this summer.
The Saudi Pro League club have been ‘working’ with Diaz to try and ‘entice’ him to make the switch and leave Europe.
However, each time they’ve tried, Diaz has proved to be a ‘problem’ as the Colombian international prioritises staying in Europe; however, Diario Sport have shared that an ‘unexpected twist’ could come into play.
The report also outlines that Ronaldo ‘wants’ the Colombian to join so that Al-Nassr’s attack can become fruitful again.

If Al-Nassr come in with £85million Liverpool should accept the bid
One of the main reasons that Liverpool are likely not entertaining the recent bids from Bayern Munich and Barcelona is that they don’t want to improve the teams of their Champions League rivals.
Last season, the Reds dropped out of the Champions League after they met their match against Paris Saint-Germain in the round of 16.
And, while fans may have been somewhat annoyed that Liverpool bowed out as early as they did, the fact that Luis Enrique’s men won the trophy outlines how strong of a team they actually were.
The 2025-26 season is likely to be filled with another season of Liverpool dominating, but one of their main goals will be to win the Champions League.
And, if they choose to sell Diaz, who was one of their best attackers last season, to one of their rivals, they’d only be ruining their own chances of winning the trophy.
This is why the Reds’ asking price for the attacker is so high, as deep down, they likely know that only Saudi Pro League club would be willing to meet that fee.
Of course, only time will tell what the future has in store, but for now, it feels like Diaz could be set to stay at Anfield for another season at least.
