Ottawa Senators star Artem Zub delivered a controversial hit on Toronto Maple Leafs forward John Tavares that some fans felt should be punished by the NHL.

Last night, the Toronto Maple Leafs lost to the Ottawa Senators in Game 4 of their first round series. It happened in overtime, and now, the Leafs lead 3-1.
In overtime, things got fairly controversial as the Maple Leafs lost John Tavares for a huge chunk of the period thanks to a blindside elbow from Artem Zub.
Zub was not penalized for the hit but there were a ton of fans on Twitter who felt like the Senators needed to pay for this supposed crime against humanity.

NHL makes decision on Artem Zub

On Sunday, there were some rumblings that perhaps the Maple Leafs would get lucky and Artem Zub would be hit with some supplementary discipline from the league.
However, once the 5PM deadline hit, nothing had been made official by the National Hockey League. Essentially, this means no punishment is coming down the pipeline.
Instead, Zub will, indeed, be in the lineup for the Senators on Tuesday night for Game 5 which is set to take place in Toronto at Scotiabank Arena.

If the Toronto Maple Leafs win on Tuesday, the series will be over and the Leafs will advance to the second round for what should be an interesting series against the Tampa Bay Lightning or the Florida Panthers.
Tavares will be looking to have a big game while Zub will continue to be as physical as possible to throw off the Leafs.
The Battle of Ontario is always a lot of fun and this series has proven that to be the case, even if it has been at least a little bit lopsided so far.
Only time will tell whether or not the Leafs can do what they have to do and take care of business at home on Tuesday.
